His politically incorrect views and legal defense of Aryan Nations founder (Pastor Richard G. Butler) placed him squarely in the crosshairs of the Anti-Defamation League. As related by his wife, Cyndi, expert testimony about the questionable nature of the audio recording used as evidence in Steele’s arrest was disallowed by the presiding judge. Steele’s health is severely compromised, and he and his wife would deeply appreciate any financial support that can provided for his defense.
