Dr. Robin Falkov discusses radiation awareness and preparedness with Dan Sythe

Dan Sythe is CEO of International Medcom, Inc., a Northern California firm that has provided high-quality radiation detection instruments since 1986.

Radiation awareness is essential for being adequately prepared. Since the 9.0 earthquake and tsunami that occurred in northern Japan on March 11, accurate and timely reports about the subsequent nuclear reactor meltdown in Fukushima have become difficult to obtain, both from official Japanese sources and abroad. While Internet sites such as Radiation Network.com are providing valuable information, much more data is needed.

In addition to fulfilling his CEO duties with International Medcom and traveling to areas of radiation concern, Sythe is a bass player in a traditional Hawaiian music group called Keaolani and serves as Executive Director of a 501(c)(3) corporation called The Whalesong Project, whose mission is to record and promote natural sounds (like those produced by Hawai’i’s Humpback whales) that inspire people to appreciate and take care of the oceans.
