How will the millions of Americans who currently reside near the Gulf of Mexico continue to remain where they are if their habitat is unsafe and their livelihoods are taken away because of oil spill contamination? Neither the government nor the mainstream media has fully communicated the extent of the environmental damage and what drastic changes lie ahead. While the Deep South overcame both the Civil War of 1861-65 and Hurricane Katrina, its future survival hangs by a very thin thread.
