Marcus Scriven served in the military and later worked as a journalist for the Sunday Telegraph and Evening Standard before researching and writing his exposé, Splendour & Squalor, which describes the history behind the downward spiral of the House of Manchester and two other aristocratic families. He was a leading contributor to Channel 4’s documentary on Victor Hervey, 6th Marquees of Bristol.
